Context

In many countries of the world, adolescent girls show less interest in sports and physical activities compared to boys. Surveys in 142 countries have found that girls are generally less active than boys. In Ukraine, the gender balance in sports mirrors this global trend. The ongoing war has exacerbated these negative trends. The onset of war has significantly impacted children's psychological well-being, leading to a decline in motivation for both academics and sports. Since the war's onset, data indicates that 75% of Ukrainian parents have observed symptoms of psychological trauma in their children. To enhance women's involvement in active lifestyles, it is essential to communicate the value of sports to young girls and dismantle stereotypes surrounding women in sports.

Mission

Introduce sports clubs for children in the regions to help them adapt to normal life through sports. - to challenge stereotypes concerning girls in sports typically not associated with women; - to encourage girls to engage in sports and maintain an active lifestyle; - to train physical education teachers in adopting gender-sensitive approaches in schools; - to promote positive changes in society through sports activities; - to provide schools with sports equipment to foster a safe and nurturing environment for children at school.
